This survey should include monuments at corners and other key locations as required by
the client or the project. By Ohio State law, each plat shall have minimum requirements.
Second Step – Topographic and Site Survey
This step gathers existing information at a site of your choice that is needed for
preliminary and final design of your project such as existing buildings, drives, parking areas, existing utilities,
topographic features & surface water drainage patterns. This step is crucial in the design of your project. Existing
topographic areas may need to be extended outside of your project area to ensure that all additional runoff from other
parcels that runs thru/over your parcel is dealt with during the design phase.
Third Step – Building and Site Design
This step consists of determining the finish floor elevation thru extending all utilities to/thru
the site including all site design and grading. Existing Zoning Laws are analyzed to determine how your project will be affected
and designed accordingly. State & County driveway permits may also be required.
Fourth Step – Project Approval
Includes submission to State and Local authorities for Building Approval, as well as any site reviews
required by Federal, State and Local laws. Also, if EPA or DEQ approval is required, your project will be submitted accordingly.
